Pastors might be forced to perform gay marriages

This article says it all without any speech from me. Dahk

As I have reported before, homosexual activists had a very clear political strategy <http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200703/tim-gill> in recent elections to target a handful of state legislatures so they could elect liberal politicians who were sympathetic to the militant homosexual rights agenda. One state legislature that flipped from Republican to the Democrats in 2006 was New Hampshire. Paying back their political benefactors, Democrat politicians in the Granite State this year voted to legalize homosexual “marriage.” But yesterday, the clear path to “gay marriage” in New Hampshire took a sudden and even more disturbing turn.

Governor John Lynch, described in some media reports as a “centrist Democrat,” sent the “gay marriage” bill back to the legislature with an amendment. He asked the legislature to provide legal protections for pastors and clergy who do not want to be forced to perform same-sex “marriages” in violation of their faith. Without those protections for pastors and clergy, Governor Lynch indicated he might veto the bill.

Guess what happened? Republicans voted against the bill on principle out of opposition to the radical notion of men “marrying” other men. But enough Democrats in the state House of Representatives also voted against the bill and it failed 186-to-188. These liberal Democrats were not voting against “gay marriage,” but were instead voting to kill the religious protections Gov. Lynch requested. Intolerant liberal Democrats in the “Live Free or Die” state proved themselves more committed to the militant homosexual movement than to the First Amendment that guarantees freedom of worship.

Pastors, I know you have your hands full with the spiritual war, but I hope you are paying attention to the cultural war raging in America today. The “tyrants of tolerance” have put a bull’s eye on your pulpits. From the so-called “hate crimes” <http://capwiz.com/cwf/issues/alert/?alertid=13295416> bill now pending in the Senate to the state-by-state push to redefine marriage, faith is under fire.
